The houses in the 2008 Fridge Art Calendar were drawn by children who attended the Sto. Niño Literacy Centre located in the inner-city area of Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. They were asked to draw ‘The things I want in the future’. It's quite significant that most of them would like to have a real house ... all of them live in tiny crowded make-shift shacks

These children cannot go to regular classes because they can't afford it. They only attend class for half the day because most of them are needed to do some sort of work for the other half of the day to help their families put food on the table.

All proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be donated to Our Lady’s Missionaries to aid in their continuing efforts to help the children at the Sto. Niño Literacy Centre.
