1. PLAN IT

2. DO IT

Once the Plan has been made, then it's time to implement the recommendations which usually fall into the following categories …

EDIT ... De-personalize and edit your home, e.g. family pictures, small art pieces & knick knacks, personal care items, books, out-of-season clothing, non-essential children’s toys

PACK & REMOVE IT ... Arrange to pack and store what you edit. Borrow a friend’s or family’s garage or basement, or rent a storage unit. And definitely don't forget to remove that old vehicle!

FIX IT ... Fix everything that needs it, e.g. light fixtures, switches, doors, windows, appliances, caulking. Replace outdated light fixtures, stained or worn carpeting and cabinet hardware.

PAINT IT ... A fresh coat of paint does wonders to brighten up an area! Neutral colours are best as they appeal to more people.

3. CLEAN IT

Everything must be spotless & sparkling clean, inside & out, up & down, back & front, over & under! The house must smell clean and fresh.

4. STAGE IT

5. SELL IT
